Moving On to the State Tournament
One team from Reynoldsburg will be participating in the Destination Imagination state tournament after placing first in their division at the March 14 event at Summit high school. Team Aqua (8th grade) will be moving on to the state tournament in Mt. Vernon on April 11. Team Red (7th grade) placed 4th, just out of medal contention, and Team Orange (7th grade) came in 7th. In the elementary division Team Pink (5th grade) also placed 7th.

Destination Imagination is a non-profit that creates programs that teach kids how to solve problems in astonishing ways. Each year, teams choose one of seven challenges. After weeks spent creating and developing their solutions, teams compete in local tournaments. Top-scoring teams advance to the state tournament. The top level of the tournament is the Global Finals—the world’s largest celebration of creativity.

Model United Nations

At the Model United Nations (March 15-17) in Columbus, Gateway students received five outstanding resolution awards. The countries of Dominican Republic, Yemen, Trinidad/Tobago, and United Arab Emirates were four of these awards. The country of Mauritania won the World Health Award.
